Raki Distilleries – “Rakokazana”

Who hasn’t taste the world famous Raki or Tsikoudia, when he has came to Crete?
The traditional drink of our island produced from “strafyla”. “Strafylla” are the mass that remains after the compression of grapes for the production of wine.
The raki is a distillation drink. The distillation process, takes place in specials distilleries called “rakokazana”.
The production of tsikoudia is primarily a social event. Also an occasion for festivities and singing.
Local traditional products are offered on the table.Traditional songs and dance, are the best part of the evening.
